Just a short afternoon ride with my riding partner, Dennis. As we often do we detoured through Kit Carson Park in Escondido. This time we followed a sign that said <- Queen Califia . We decided to go look and this is what we found. Niki de Saint Phalle, the artist, took four years to create this enchanting place.

Children should really enjoy this place. It does have a magical quality. All the shiny and mirrored surfaces create interesting patterns of light.

There are these little windows all around the circle where you can see in, or out.

And there are little depressions in the circle, where some plants have been planted.
